George Mason University’s fine concert series features an eclectic blend of mainstream and cutting-edge artists. Some of the orchestras it has brought in have been iffy (did they actually exist outside of that tour?), and others have been of lesser quality. But Friday evening, the BBC Concert Orchestra, led by Keith Lockhart, gave a thoroughly professional, enjoyable concert; a shame it wasn’t more fully subscribed.
