Since taking over for John Williams in 1995, Keith Lockhart has been known as the conductor of the Boston Pops. But Tuesday afternoon’s concert at the Kravis Center, part of the Regional Arts Concert Series, presented the audience an opportunity to hear him conducting more standard repertoire as he led the BBC Concert Orchestra in its U.S. tour. The program consisted of lighter works from the first half of the 20th century, all from French and English composers.
